danielle goldstein

Danielle Goldstein, MS, E-RYT-500, C-IAYT, is the founder of Mindful Turtle in Setauket, NY. She has had a dedicated yoga practice for over twenty years and has studied many traditions of classical yoga, particularly the Ashtanga Yoga Method, developing a respect and appreciation for yoga and its life changing possibilities. Her classes are motivating, inspiring and compassionate.

Her training includes both a 200 and 500 hour yoga teacher training from the Yoga Teacher Training Institute under the guidance of Ma Mokshapriya Shakti and Marianne Mitsinikos. She has an additional 500 hour certification in Classical Ashtanga Yoga with Beryl Bender Birch of The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute. In addition to being a faculty member of Beryl’s teacher training program, she has assisted Beryl at various workshops and trainings around the country. She is forever a student and continues her study of Ashtanga Yoga with senior Ashtanga teacher Christine Hoar. Danielle is a compassionate teacher with a skillful eye offering precise adjustments making the Ashtanga Yoga Asana practice fun and accessible to all.

Danielle holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from CW Post University, is Certified Yoga Therapist and is currently studying to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor with the Boston Ayurveda School. She specializes in developing therapeutic yoga practices for those recovering from trauma and incorporating yoga, diet and lifestyle to maintain optimal health.

MICHELLE BONANG

Michelle, OT/L, RYT-200, is an occupational therapist, yoga teacher and Mom to 3, who has been practicing yoga for close to 15 years. In 2016, Michelle received her Level I & II Radiant Child Yoga Certifications and in 2018 dove deeper into Yoga for Children with ADHD, Autism & Special Abilities. In 2020, she graduated with her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She brings a piece of her training into every OT session with her clients and loves to bring her occupational therapy knowledge with her into yoga classes - finding perfect harmony between the two. Michelle is excited to be a part of Zen Revolution both practicing and teaching in a wonderful community environment. 

Lisa Brand

Lisa Brand, E-RYT-500+ is a lifelong yoga practitioner who first became certified in 2006. She holds two separate 500-hour certifications from the Ashtanga tradition. Lisa is also trained and certified in teaching Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery).

Lisa has studied different yogic traditions such as Yin, Restorative, Trauma-Based, Kundalini, Jivamukti and Bhakti Yoga. Lisa attended her first Pilates class in 2007. Immediately, she knew it would be a perfect addition to her yoga practice. In 2009, Lisa became a fully-certified Mat and Apparatus Pilates Instructor through both Peak Pilates and Balanced Body Pilates. 

Lisa continues to attend Pilates workshops and conferences specializing in spinal conditions and physical rehabilitation using the Pilates Method of training.

A lifelong learner, Lisa is currently studying Ayurveda, with the intention of completing both the Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training and Ayurveda Health Counselor programs through the Kripalu Center in Lenox, Massachusetts.

VAL RYAN

Valerie began her health and exercise journey when she left the corporate sector in New York City and relocated to Miami Florida to attend Massaging Hands, receiving her certification as a licensed massage therapist. As a practitioner for 14 years she focused on deep tissue and intuitive bodywork. She and her husband Tim enjoy hiking, paddle boarding and camping together. Valerie travelled to Mysore Karnakata, India for a two-month study program at AyurYoga Eco-Ashram under the direction of Swami Prabodh for meditation and philosophy. She received her 200 hours for yoga certification as well. Valerie began attending Zen Rev classes in 2021 and fell in love with the wonderful community Zen Rev fosters and nurtures. She received her certification for spin instruction with Schwinn and Zen Rev in 2023. When not creating multi-genre playlists for classes she is spoiling their dog Maggie and slinging espresso drinks at the Crooked Ram.

Nancy Brooks 

Nancy is a passionate fitness instructor who is as dedicated to family as she is to physical and mental health. She believes that without physical and mental balance, we cannot be the best version of ourselves. She has been teaching group fitness for over 20 years. As a 200 hour Vinyasa yoga flow instructor and a 300 hour Kundalini yoga teacher, she blends breath and movement choreographed to music with careful consideration on class planning for safety on all participants.

 Also, as an Ace Group Fitness certified instructor her spin or cardio, resistance and balance classes will have classic moves to fun music to make you sweat and smile.

Nancy resides in Bennington with her husband Bill and is blessed to have her two grown children and their families living close by. When not teaching, she works in Corporate America.
